Jennifer P. Nesbitt - Penn State York

Jennifer Poulos Nesbitt is an assistant professor of English at Penn State York, where she specializes in British literature with an emphasis on women’s literature and postcolonial literature. She is the author of Narrative Settlements (Toronto, 2005), a study of British women’s literature, national spaces, and citizenship between 1918 and 1945. She has also published in Twentieth Century Literature, ARIEL, Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature, and Clues: A Journal of Detection. Her current project, “Rum Histories,” charts the evolution of rum as an image for colonialism’s legacy in later twentieth-century Anglophone literature and culture.
