Greg Mullins is Professor of Comparative Literature at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, USA. He holds a PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley. Among other awards and honors he was a Fulbright professor at the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, Brazil. His publications include Colonial Affairs: Bowles, Burroughs, and Chester Write Tangier, and essays published in Brazil and Morocco as well as in the U.S. journals Callaloo, Peace Review, and MELUS. His areas of expertise include Caribbean, Brazilian, and U.S. literature, and his current research focuses on literary engagements with the discourse of international human rights.
