Karen Lindo - Bowdoin College

Karen Lindo is presently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College where she teaches 20th Century Literature and Film courses as well Francophone Literature and Culture. She completed her PhD at UCLA in 2007 and pursues her scholarly interests in the role of affects in questions of identity in postcolonial studies. Her thesis project States of Shame:Women, Affect, Transnationalisms is currently being reworked for book publication. Other interests include the politics of humor and irony and transnational studies of black masculinity.
